"Air Gates of Russia" 2017 Award

Sabetta International Airport is the winner of the second prize in the nomination "the Best airport in 2017" (in the category "Regional airports, less than 0.5 million passengers per year") in the framework of the V National exhibition of the infrastructure of civil aviation NAIS-2018, the largest industry event in Russia and the CIS. The expert Council of the award includes representatives of leading Russian airlines, heads of civil aviation enterprises and authoritative industry media. The award ceremony and the award ceremony is traditionally held at the exhibition NAIS and collects the status of the audience: the first persons of the aviation authorities, airports and airlines. The winners were honored by the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov, Deputy Minister of transport of the Russian Federation Alexander Yurchik and Head of Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko. Sabetta International Airport is awarded the prize in the category "Airport of regional importance" for the second year in a row. For the first time, a very young airport was declared the winner as the best airport in 2016. For reference: The award "Best airport" is awarded taking into account the categories and capacity of airports. The evaluation was carried out according to criteria that objectively reflect the work of airport terminals and services: quality of customer service (passengers and airlines), operational indicators, transport security, non-aeronautical activities of airports and so on. The winners of the National award in the past years were the following airports: Sheremetyevo (Moscow), Domodedovo (Moscow), Vnukovo (Moscow), Pulkovo (St. Petersburg), Zhukovsky, Sochi, Simferopol, Kaluga, Begishevo, Gelendzhik, Anapa, Orenburg, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Abakan, Kazan, Vladivostok, Yemelyanovo (Krasnoyarsk), Tolmachevo (Novosibirsk), Koltsovo (Ekaterinburg), Ufa, Kurumoch (Samara) and others.
